Panchakarma 2026
"Your body hears everything your mind says."
Immerse yourself in this unique experience as you go on a journey of ultimate healing.
Introducing the wonderful Dr Mini, our principal practitioner for your Panchakarma journey.
With over 25 years of experience as a traditional healer Dr Mini was born into a family of Ayurvedic Doctors. Her ambition in life was clear from the beginning. "To join the family tradition and to heal with the help of Ayurvedic knowledge".
Dr Mini grew up with a deep understanding of Ayurveda, the ancient science of life, and lived an Ayurvedic lifestyle since her early childhood. She attained a Bachelors Degree in Science (BSc) from the University of Kerala and a medical degree in Ayurveda, namely Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS). As a mother of two children, She is overjoyed, that this precious knowledge of Ayurveda has reached its fifth generation with her daughter Annu, who is now working as a Junior Ayurvedic doctor. Not to mention her son who is a Transplant Surgeon in the Indian Hospital system in Delhi.
We feel very fortunate to have been guided to cross paths with Dr Mini as she has and continues to dedicate her life to sharing the ancient learned wisdom of this deeply healing practice.

In a world where living a healthy and fulfilled life is ever more complex, Ayurveda offers a method of purifying a person from the toxins accumulated with regard to both the body and mind.
With this experience we will help you to cultivate an environment, where you can re-connect to your own inner knowledge to create lasting health and happiness.
Make it stand out.
It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
Journal entry ~
day 1
We were asked to meet Dr Mini in the dining room at 6:30am to begin the ghee drinking part of our treatment. When we arrived I felt a mix of emotions somewhere inbetween excited & nervous. When I sat down at the table my blood pressure was taken and then my pulse. In front of me was placed a small cup filled with warm water, a silver bowl with a lid on and my name written on a tag and a small plate with some cooked ginger.
We were guided by Dr Mini as how this process would unfold. First take 1/2 cup of warm water, then chew some of the ginger and coat the whole mouth, drink the ghee in 1 gulp if you can and then chew another piece of ginger and drink the rest of the warm water.
I love a good challenge so we got started. One tip Dr Mini gave us was "DON’T SMELL THE GHEE!" Later I understood what she meant.
I took the water, so far so good. I chewed the ginger, yummy! Then I removed the lid from the pot to reveal the ghee, it was blue! Don’t think about it I thought, just drink it! I closed my eyes, and took a swig, I didn't quite make it so a second swig was required. Next the ginger! Breathe! Chased by the water. Wow that was wild! Seriously how did we end up here!
After we finished I could feel me heart racing with adrenaline and a tingling feeling in both my arms. Dr Mini shared with us about the family temple that they have next to the property and that we can go there anytime we like. This is our home now too. She believes that Shiva is her guide and that all the people that are brought to her are connected to Shiva. This place is unreal!
Dr Mini informed us we will be taking the ghee for the next 6 days, day 4-6 we will be eating only rice soup twice a day & nothing else. I’m so happy I decided to commit to Panchakarma.
Journal entry ~
day 7
Last day of ghee. I woke up around 3:30am and for the next hour was on and off the toilet again, continuing to emptying out all of the toxins that Dr Mini had explained would happen. My bum is starting to get a little sore now and almost had my first adult accident when I woke up. Oh you gotta laugh!
This whole journey so far, especially yesterday I have continuously reminded myself that this experience was a choice, a voluntary choice. One which today more than any other day since arriving I am so grateful for. Every event that has challenged me in my life has led me to this point. Without the support of everyone at the centre and of course my own mental strength I'm not sure I would have reached Day 7!
I focused my mind hard today, towards the end of my meditation I imagined myself walking out of the house having finished the ghee & felt into what that would be like. Guess what I got to experience it in real life & it was way beyond what I had imagined. Elated, relieved, proud, overwhelmed, excited are just a handful of what I experienced.
I couldn’t believe my eyes when I look into the cup and the ghee was all gone.
What an absolute honour to be surrounded by so much inspiration & support.
Thank you life & soul for directing me to this path!
I am capable of literally anything! Put me in the jungle & feed me witchety grubs!
This morning I cried quite a lot when I was messaging my sister, I miss her so much.
It felt really good to cry.
Today was super chilled, as on Day 6 and 7 there are no treatments for me. I played cards with a friend I have made since arriving. I may have dozed for a little and I found myself at one point scrolling like i've never scrolled before at food reels! My mouth was literally watering! What I would do for some chocolate banana bread right now!
I felt on & off nausea again today & some cramping in my tummy but much better than yesterday.
This whole experience is just so amazing, each day is different & there is always a surprise.
Tomorrow we have been told is a day off, normal food & a massage at some point. It's definitely heated up today as there may be some rain coming tonight so a cool shower & then time to sleep.

This is your opportunity to
experience the most profound
journey into what it means to truly
live a balanced and full life.
Ancient and modern causes of decline in our vitality and functions.
Why do you need this experience?
The causes of the loss of vitality differ in different time periods. Historically people lost their vitality with physical work (as in past generations we toiled hard to survive), exposure to the elements, or over-indulging.
Past generations also had a loss of vitality from minor, chronic or recurrent illnesses such as coughs and colds, let’s call these unclassified diseases.
In modern times, in addition to the unclassified diseases, we also lose our sap of life from:
Poor diet -nutritionally poor, narrow in variety, stale, processed and ultra-processed food. Our food quantities have increased considerably but our food quality and nutrient levels have reduced significantly. This can lead us to a place where our sap of life starts to get drained and we get sick.
Imbalances in our food, air and water- air quality and water quality have decreased considerably in this modern world. The air is often polluted with toxins and our water supply is tainted with added chemicals and contamination from piping etc.
Not living in harmony with nature- an overall attitude of only taking care of human society has meant we have lost our connection to nature's knowledge. This lack of understanding drains our lifeforce as we feel alone and unsupported by life.
Unhealthy domestic and work atmosphere- the modern pressures we place on ourselves lead to stressors and chronic inflammation.
Lifestyle is not compliant with one’s internal clock- a need to achieve means we push ourselves to operate outside the natural internal clock. In fact we don’t even have any awareness of how our body operates or what it needs at what times.
Indiscriminate consumption of drugs- this is not only from alcohol but also from pharmaceutical drugs taken too often and without much thought on the repercussions. It’s the quick fix/ bandaid mentality.
Tired organs and nervous system- an internal ecology that is stuck in fight and flight mode making healing literally impossible as the conditions required for this are never allowed to arise in our bodies.
What should I do so that my body is not a burden to my soul?
Healthy Breathing- the way you breathe has a massive effect on your nervous system and on your overall well-being in physical and mental health. Modern studies show that over 80 percent of people with diagnosed anxiety are unhealthy breathers. The great news is this is simply a bad habit that is easily changeable.
Understand this link between mind and body- you will learn that your mental attitude plays a vital role in your healing journey. And the best outcomes are achieved when the mind is on board with the process. You will also gain a comprehension of how your mind operates so you can understand what are mental fluctuations and what is important intuitive knowledge.
Know the importance of meditation- you will be empowered to understand that meditation is actually easy and is your natural state. It is also a vital tool in your well being and healing journey. Without this you're simply throwing darts blindfolded. This is where you get the inside info on what your body and soul require. The skills you will learn are simple and easy to apply. But life-changing in every way.
Knowledge of sleep- we will guide you through the process of understanding your sleep patterns and recognizing the signs of when sleep isn’t doing what it should be doing for your body. Do you wake up tired? Do you wake up thirsty? Do you go to the toilet in the night? These are all signs of something underlying that must be addressed to stop the draining of your vital life force and to allow healing to take place.
Learn to understand the subconscious mind- Did you know
95% of our life is unfolding from the subconscious mind and
5% from the conscious mind.
So you can see why this is so important.
We will develop an understanding of how this works and give you the tools to transform this aspect of yourself for your benefit in all aspects of your life.
Panchakarma overview
This experience will address all the points made above.
The knowledge we will share along with the Panchakarma experience will chart a course for a new outlook on your life.
You will experience a new empowered version of yourself that is living in harmony with life and feeling filled with vitality.
Knowing that these sciences of human excellence tell us that we should be in our peak between the ages of 65 and 75!
Now is the time to expand into a full and vital life.
An outline of your Panchakarma journey
Each persons programme will be personalised by Dr Mini and the team. All treatments are based on pure Ayurvedic systems and ancient medicinal recipes handed down through five generations of renowned Ayurvedic practitioners.
In Kerala with our 5th Generation Ayurvedic Female Doctor we will undergo together a 21 Day Panchakarma detoxification which will be individually tailored to each and every person.
Below is an example of what you can expect during your time in the programme.
(Please note this is an example of your time frame and treatments, this may vary for each individual depending on their dosha, prescribed treatment plan and the ailments we are working with).
The first step is detoxification. This means your organs, your tissues, and even the cells are detoxified. In the beginning, you have to drink medicated ghee each morning. This is a critical part of the detoxification process as the ghee helps draw toxins out of the cells. When the body is saturated with the ghee, we go to the next detoxification procedure called virechana, which involves taking a herbal laxative. Next, there are procedures such as nasyam, which involves putting medicated oil in the nostrils to clear the sinuses, and karnapooranam, which involves filling the ears with medicated oil to detox and lubricate the ears. There are other treatments as well, such as medicated enemas. One of the possible detoxification treatments is vamana, which is a vomiting procedure and used only for very serious chronic conditions (such as high kapha or kapha-pitta ailments).
Throughout your stay, you will also receive a daily ayurvedic massage from our trained masseurs.

What is a dosha?
Doshas, not to get confused with dosas! (The delicious Indian savoury pancakes that are famous in the South. These will become your new guilty pleasure very quickly into your stay with Dr Mini.)
Doshas are a way of explaining through the science of Ayurveda how the 5 elements of life show up in us as humans, reminding us that we are not separate from all of this.
They explain and allow us to understand our own constitution. Creating a better understanding of why we act, look and feel the way that we do.
There are 3 main dosha types Pitta, Kapha, Vata. Each is represented by 2 of the 5 elements as shown in the diagram, each have their own unique traits.
Pitta- water & fire
Kapha- water & earth
Vata- wind & ether
We all have a prominent dosha which is supported by a secondary. It is important to understand this science to better understand yourself.
A person can experience their doshas from a state of balance and also imbalance.
The questionnaire we will ask you to complete as part of your application process is provided by Dr Mini as this enables her to get a better understanding of where your imbalances lie and what treatment she will prescribe for you to assist in bringing you back into your own alignment.
Your treatments, meals & herbal decoctions during your time with Dr Mini will be centred around bringing your doshas more into balance. This is a lifetime of work which can be easeful and effortless once the right knowledge has been absorbed and put into practice. You will then begin to witness your entire reality begin to shift as your mind, body and soul breathe a sigh of relief, coming more into their natural state of being.
This understanding, especially if it is new for you can bring up many questions, create lots of curiosity and also some confusion. We want you to know that we are here for every and all of your questions. At any time during the treatment Dr Mini will be available and open to answering all your questions as well.
Doshas can only be officially assigned by a registered Ayurvedic doctor and there is no need for you to know just yet what dosha type you are. We will leave this conversation for your 1:1 with Dr Mini.

All the tools will be available to fully transform your relationship to your health.
How will you be nourished?
Breakfast - a warm bowl of rolled oats soaked overnight prepared with water. Topped with ghee roasted almonds, raisins & cashews, a handful of stewed seasonal fruits and cinnamon.
Lunch - homemade curry using seasonal produce, quinoa/ Kerala rice, warm cabbage & mung bean salad
Dinner - dosas, coconut chutney & sambar OR kitchuri
There are some days as mentioned in the schedule where you diet will be adjusted to support your treatments. These days you will be offered rice soup & mung bean salad.
All the food during your programme is prepared in house by the divine Gita. She is helped daily in the kitchen by the sweet soul that is Iby.
All the produce is sourced locally and as you will see and experience Gitas' love and intention during the preparation and serving of the meals is what adds to the potency of its already nourishing and healing elixir.
All food and drinks we consume during our time together will be served warm, this is to assist with the assimilation of the food in the body, to stoke the Agni (the internal fire) and to aid in its easeful digestion. Cold foods and drinks ingested into the body have a tendency to dull and dampen the inner fire, much like the effects of a fire in our external environment. Agni is responsible for converting our food into energy, which is then distributed around the body allowing all of our vital functions to work with ease. This habit is one Dr Mini will recommend you continue once you leave the treatment.
Please be mindful all treatments which includes the food that is prepared for you is specific to your individual programme so it may vary from the provided menu above and also to what others are being prescribed. Remember this journey is yours and unique to you.
Why is Panchakarma alone not enough?
Yoga and Ayurveda originated from the same source and are designed to be experienced together.
It it only through the modern mind that they have become separate. They were originally created to work as one.
Yoga and Ayurveda have always worked hand in hand, they are a science of human excellence.
They have been and continue to be the most comprehensive experience based scientific study of humans. The word Ayurveda translates to “Knowledge of Life” while the word Yoga means to unite or join, therefore Ayurveda and Yoga is the union of the knowledge of life and the practices of Yoga that harmonise you with life.
Together they encompass the ultimate holistic healing system in the world with in excess of 5000 years of tried and tested data.
Yoga provides the spiritual and psychological basis for Ayurveda and its higher applications which is why the treatment of Panchakarma alone is not enough. Both Ayurveda and Yoga are required for a truly encompassing and profound way to deal with medication, life and recuperation, but with Ayurveda giving the medical foundation and Yoga, the spiritual understanding and practices.
Before you even reach Dr Mini we will spend 4 weeks preparing the breath, mind and body for your Panchakarma experience here in Perth with us. You will be empowered with the knowledge of healthy breathing, an understanding of the mind and how it works and a personal practice of gentle yogic movement that will perfectly suit your undertaking in India and your personal constitution.

11 years ago Dan was diagnosed with AML leukemia (yes the dreaded cancer) in hindsight this was a gift.
He was forced to live in a hospital for 6 months. During this time he was able to witness in the many patients that came through the hospital that your healing journey has a direct relationship to your mental state.
In fact Yoga and Ayurvedic science states this is a universal truth.
So what does that mean? If we are going to undertake a deeply transforming healing journey we need both the knowledge of life and an understanding of our mental functions and how to easily and simply utilise them in our journey. Your outcomes are as much based on thought as they are on getting the best doctors and knowledge available.
-
In short the answer is Yes.
What we know to be true is that Yoga is the science of the mind and that everything is Yoga.
If we collect the right knowledge, engage in these teachings and take action with the practices that are being shared we begin to experience in real time in our reality that we are capable of overcoming everything.

My first Panchakarma journey was profound to say the least!
For me I entered into this experience with a sense of curiosity and a very open mind and heart.
What I quickly became aware of was the more I trusted and the more I surrendered to my external reality the more I was able to let go, witness myself in my experience instead of resisting it, appreciate this incredibly unique and life changing experience to be in the presence and safety of Dr Mini and her abundance of ancient knowledge, and to truly know that my body is incredible and it has the ability to heal on its own if the right environment, tools and knowledge are applied!
The main benefits for me from this experience was completely breaking the habit of emotional eating, something which had become deeply ingrained in my everyday for the past 7 years! To fully accept, love and appreciate that my body is perfect exactly as it is. To be able to witness and acknowledge thoughts from the past without looping and holding on to this unhelpful programming and finally to learn more about Ayurvedic food and the importance it has on the way we perceive and show up in our reality. I have adopted these principles in my everyday since arriving back in Australia and my overall health and wellbeing has never been so good!
This is why I have been called to share this experience with others.

Journal entry ~ day 10
I woke feeling a little heavy in the stomach this morning as my body continues to settle after my Virechana yesterday, but also excited as today is the first day of our new treatments.
Today we were asked to be at the house for 7:30am to receive our first herbal decoctions. These are individually prepared for us and we will take them every morning to support our treatments moving forward.
After our herbal decoctions this morning I felt a little nauseous, Dr Mini had shared with us at the beginning of the journey to simply witness our bodies responses to treatments and if we have any questions or concerns to go and talk to her. I will see how I go today.
I had no expectation about the treatments I would be receiving today. This has been the mindset I have been working with for the past year and I notice the difference in my experience when there is an expectation vs not. I prefer to be without!
I was called in. The treatment began with placing dots of oil on certain parts of my body while sitting in a chair, including the souls of the feet, then massaging oil into the torso, shoulders & back.
I then lay down and my face was massaged. Next I sat up with a cloth placed over my head in front of a pot with herb infused steaming water. I was instructed to breathe in through my nose, and out through my mouth.
Then I returned to laying down & drops of oil were placed into my nose & massaged. I sat up and there was a bowl placed in front of me. I was then instruction to breath in through my nose & spit. All of the mucus has been soften with the massage & the steam, I began to feel everything loosen. All the while a hot steam cloth is being placed on different parts of my chest, upper back & face to help release the mucus. For me today not much was released & my throat became sore but I know over time this will loosen up more & I will be able to let go of this built up energy.
Next oil is placed in the ears & again a hot towel is used to massage around the area to loosen any wax build up, after a few minutes, tissue is placed in the ear & remains there while the process is repeated on the other side. I enjoyed this warm sensation.
Next was the eyes, one eye at a time a herbal drop was placed & then I was asked to begin blinking, this was a little difficult at first as I was experiencing a burning & stinging sensation. Air was wafted in front of my eye & as I continued to blink I noticed the burning sensation began to fade. This was repeated with the other eye. This part of the treatment was probably the most intense but I certainly felt as though I remained calm by cultivating trust in my mind and reminding myself to belly breathe.
Next what I can only describe as a small smudge stick was lite & then blown out to leave smoke which was then inserted into a leaf in the shape of a cone. This was then placed close to one of my nostrils and I was asked to close the other one. I then inhaled through my open nostril & exhaled from my mouth. Woweeeee! This definitely tickled the back of my throat & left a menthol taste in my mouth. This was repeated 3 times on each side.
I loved this whole process, something new, delivered with care & a knowing that the healing journey of Panchakarma has begun.
I left the treatment feeling so alive, energised & clear. 6 more days of Nasyam oh & no hair washing!
I looked in the mirror when I got back to my room & my eyes are wide, & alert & my cheeks are rosey, just as Dr Mini had said. The blood circulation is flowing with ease as the toxins have been released from my body.
I was asked to not stimulate the senses for the next hour, so no devices or reading. I headed to breakfast & was greeted by a delicious bowl of porridge, the table began to fill up & the chats started to flow. The sensations of my taste have become so heightened, the salty, the sweet, the crunch the soft. Wow! Feeling so grateful to be present with my food. Saying a blessing before every meal now has become a new habit, one that I have been wanting to have as part of my life for sometime now. I'm definitely not the person I arrived here as and its only been 10 days!
Shortly after breakfast I Was called for my 2nd new treatment.
When I arrived in the room there was a huge pot on the burner at the bottom of the bed so I knew it was more than my usual daily massage.
It began with a massage just as before, I was feeling relaxed & still so open & elated after Nasyam. I had the beautiful Prija & Srija as my therapists today. They were both singing at one point. Bliss!
After the massage I was laying on my front & then began to feel warm water being poured on my body, beginning at the feet a few times & then working its way up my body. As it reached closer to my head I could smell the herbs. I remained on my front for some time & then a massage began to be introduced again while the warm herb water was continuously poured over me. This felt so nurturing like I was a baby in a bath again.
There was then a focus specifically on my left leg (one of the physical ailments I had brought to Dr Mini). The pressure increased & the cracks began to show, at first I giggled & squirmed. Then I was trying to stop Prijas hand & she kept gently & lovingly moving my hand away. The laughter turned to tears as I realised she wasn’t going to stop & that this was 100% the intention & the treatment was very specific to treat my pain.
The pain instantly took me back to the moment I finished my 1/2 marathon in Perth more than 4 years when I couldn’t walk, & the days following this when I realised I had pushed myself too far! This is where this injury I am still carry began.
As I continued to reflect on this past experience & the massage continued, the pain remained, even when we switched sides, I had no idea my physical body was storing so much of my emotional PAIN!
I began to chant “I’m sorry, I love you, please forgive me, thank you.” & I focused so hard on imagining these vibrations being received by every single cell & molecule in my body.
Once the tears dried up & I applied my new tool of only acknowledging and witnesssing the past & not giving it momentum I was able to bring my focus back to the present moment, with these gentle & nurturing hands in the safe space of Dr Mini & the team.
My trust in my body and life has strengthen so much since I arrived & my mind is so surrendered that the only path I am choosing is the one of least resistance & that of healing self.
I am healing more & more in each moment & with every breath. Thank you to the divine grace for choosing me. Now the body feels lighter, more relaxed but sore in the legs.
Once the treatment was over I headed back to my room. I was reminded back to my intention for the day & it included playfulness/ silliness so I decided what would this mean to me right now. Dancing of course! I danced until I could only just catch my breath, it felt amazing! Life, joy & divinity are running through my veins.
I relaxed at the house for the rest of the afternoon and later I rounded up the troops for a stroll to the lake.
It was so nice to feel so good, so vibrant & so energised! When I arrived back to the property my evening decoction was waiting for me. It was sooooo bitter! Wooohhoooo! This meant I had to wait for 30 minutes to eat so I went to watch the sunset at the back of the property while I waited. It was beautiful & bright orange/ red tonight, as though the sky was on fire.
Kitchuri was for dinner this evening & slowly everyone gathered around the table. We had fun/ sweaty/ mozzie infested chats while we shared stories about our profound moments. So fun.
